Photo Bound Tours, LLC - Ruth Hoyt

Ruth is a full-time professional nature photographer, writer, public speaker, workshop leader, coach, mentor, and consultant with nearly 35 years' experience teaching nature photography. She works with photographers of all skill levels, including youths, artists' groups, US Veterans, people with disabilities, and other specialized groups. She is a Certified Interpretive Guide and Certified Texas Master Naturalist.

Ruth is best known for Texas bird and wildlife photography, professional guiding services on private south Texas ranches, and photo tours to Costa Rica, Colombia and other national and international locations. Ruth pursues landscape, flora, macro, night, and more genres of photography.

Camera systems Ruth has used include Nikon, Canon, and Hasselblad film cameras, followed by Canon digital and mirrorless cameras. She migrated to OM System mirrorless cameras two years ago but keeps an open mind for new technology as it emerges.
